Central Portugal becoming extremely popular

Having been "overlooked" by many investors in the past, the property market in central Portugal is now attracting a growing number of potential buyers, according to one expert.
William Fitzherbert-Brockholes of estate agent Property For Sale In Central Portugal told Homes Worldwide that several years ago properties were mostly sold privately, with most buyers seeking to invest in new homes.
"However, there are now many more local estate agents in this area and property prices are on the up," Mr Fitzherbert-Brockholes remarked.
Restoring old properties in the area is much cheaper than in the UK due to the relatively low cost of materials and labour, he added.
Nicholas Marr, chief executive of homesgofast, recently suggested that Portugal's Silver Coast offers investors well-priced properties compared with other regions, while a new airport in the area is expected to boost the market.
Investors are more likely to be attracted to an area which is accessible, he added.
